More Playpen Playtime

Cole loves doing his "play by yourself" time in his playpen. He loves to smack around the bird and frog that typically hang from the mobile. Here is a little example:

On another note, Cole has been "sleeping through the night" for about a week and a half now. That means that he sleeps from like 10:30/11:00 to 7:00 AM or so. He has had one or two lapses, but for the most part we are all enjoying a good night's sleep :)

Moosey and Hand-Sucking

Cole's "moosey" seems to be one of his favorite toys (see video). Another of Cole's favorites: eating his hands. We really don't want Cole to develop a habit of thumb (or hand) sucking, so now whenever he puts his hand in his mouth, we gently remove it and sternly tell him "no". To that, Cole gives a big smile and within a minute his hand it hovering around his mouth again.

I love waking Cole up from his naps. We swaddle him pretty good as it usually helps him sleep better. So when we wake him up and unswaddle him, his arms almost always shoot straight up for a good stretch. In this video he only does one of two arms, but it's still pretty funny.

Grab & Roll(or not) Video

When Cole plays on his playmat, he has been working a lot on grabbing the different animals and rings that hang down from the top. He also has been trying for the past week to roll over onto his belly, but he can't seem to do it yet and gets easily frustrated by his failure.

Uncle Asdo & Cole!!!

Asdo was in Boulder a few days after we moved in, so we drove up to see him for an evening of good times. He was really excited to see Emily and I, but even more excited about meeting Cole.
